GG-25 offers a good combination of strength and wear resistance over the GG-20, while still having good machinability and excellent surface finish. Due to the graphite structure it has, the noise and vibration absorption along with the thermal conductivity are excellent. Complies with Standard EN 16482: 2014 | EN-GJL-250C.

 

Medium hard quality (170-225 HB) advisable for uses where a balance between mechanical characteristics and ease of machining is required.

Brinell hardness

170-225 HB test with 10 mm diameter ball and load 3000 kg depending on the size of the section. Hardness readings are taken throughout the entire section of the bar. The hardness values for rectangles depend on the relationship between height and width and can be supplied upon request.

Micro structure

Contains type 'A' sheets of graphite flakes, in accordance with ISO 945. The periphery area contains type 'D' sheets and 'E' interdendritic graphite. The matrix in the nucleus contains more than 50% of perlite. The periphery is predominantly ferritic and may contain up to 5% of dispersed fine carbides.
